FRIESS offers different types of oil skimmers tailored to specific needs:

• Tube Skimmer: This type utilizes an endless oil collector tube that floats on the liquid surface, collecting oil as it adheres to the tube’s exterior. The tube is then pulled into the skimmer where the oil is scraped off. Its ability to automatically compensate for level fluctuations and its customizable tube length make it ideal for reliably keeping even large basins oil-free. 

• Belt Skimmer: An electrically driven skimmer belt dips vertically into the liquid, with floating oil adhering to its surface and being transported upwards. Scrapers then remove the oil, which flows into a collection container. Its compact design makes it particularly suitable for small and inaccessible tanks. 

• Angled Belt Skimmer: A further development of the regular belt skimmer, the angled belt skimmer features a lower belt end redirected by approximately 80 degrees, allowing it to hit the bath surface almost horizontally. This flat belt creates a slight current that sets viscous oil in motion, driving it towards the skimmer belt for collection, enabling it to remove oil from larger surfaces than conventional belt skimmers.
